Designing an Adaptive Layer for Learning Ecosystems
A multi-stakeholder learning ecosystem that personalizes K-12 learning across learners, educators, mentors, and leadership.
Background
MyGooru Apps were built to support every stakeholder in the learning journey — learners, instructors, mentors/parents, institutional leaders, curriculum developers, and IT/admin teams. Most K-12 platforms optimize for a single user, leaving the rest of the ecosystem to operate in silos. That fragmentation leads to inconsistent interventions, delayed support, and unclear progress.
The challenge was to design one shared system where each role gets a purpose-built experience, while the platform stays coherent, scalable, and easy to deploy across different schools and regions.
Solution
We designed MyGooru Apps as a connected suite of role-based tools around a single personalization engine.
MyGooru for Learners
Learners get a GPS-like learning experience that identifies gaps, recommends resources, and tracks mastery progression
MyGooru for Instructors
Instructors see real-time progress and receive interpretable, AI-suggested interventions to support each learner.
MyGooru for Mentors
Mentors & Parents stay updated on progress and can reinforce learning through clear signals.
MyGooru Insights
Real-time data helps institutional leaders coordinate learning strategies and scale success.
Library
provides standards-aligned content across Math, Science, and ELA for Grades 2–12 — curated into structured learning paths that power personalization across geographies.
Admin Tools
Admin Tools enable curriculum configuration, user and role management, reporting, and ecosystem-level governance — ensuring the platform stays consistent, scalable, and easy to deploy across schools and regions.

Reflection
Designing MyGooru Apps pushed me to think beyond screens and into ecosystems. The real work was making six different roles feel like they belong to one product — with shared logic, shared language, and purpose-built clarity for each stakeholder.
What I’m most proud of is the restraint: keeping AI guidance powerful but quiet, surfacing complexity only when it helps, and letting every role move through the system without friction. This project reinforced a core belief I carry into every build — scale doesn’t come from adding more features, it comes from making the system simpler to trust and easier to grow.
